How you treat people is what everyone remembers.

Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable community is a top priority for Crafting for Christ. Our rules and guidelines are designed not just to prevent conflict, but to foster an environment where everyone can enjoy the game, collaborate, and grow together.

Accessing the Rules​

You can always access our community rules in-game or online:

  • In-Game: Type /rules at any time to view the full list of guidelines.
  • Online: Visit our Rules Page for the most current and detailed information.

Tip: Rules are updated periodically to reflect new features, server changes, and community feedback. Check the online page regularly to stay informed.

Key Expectations​

To ensure a positive experience for all players, we ask that everyone follows these core expectations:

1. Be Kind​

  • Treat all players with respect, whether in chat, through actions, or while interacting with builds.
  • Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or targeting others.
  • Encourage new players and celebrate others’ achievements.

Some things sit beyond the ordinary "be respectful" line and are treated with the utmost seriousness: harassment, threats, bullying, and discrimination aimed at who someone is. Hate speech, bigotry, racism, homophobia and sexism have no place on the Network and are not tolerated.

2. No Griefing​

  • Respect the creations and claims of other players. Do not destroy, steal from, or tamper with others’ builds without permission.
  • If you accidentally damage someone’s build, notify them immediately and help fix it.

3. Keep Chat Clean​

  • Maintain a friendly and safe chat environment.
  • Refrain from swearing, inappropriate language, or content that may be offensive to others.
  • Use public chat responsibly, and avoid spamming or flooding the chat.

Spamming means sending several messages in a short space of time, repeating the same message, or sending one or more excessively long messages. If it makes the chat harder for everyone else to use, it counts.

4. Solve Problems Peacefully​

  • Conflicts are natural, but resolving them respectfully is required.
  • Attempt to resolve disagreements directly and politely with other players.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, contact a staff member for assistance. Staff are trained to mediate disputes and ensure fairness.

A Few Network-Wide Rules​

These apply everywhere Crafting for Christ operates - the Minecraft servers, this website and our Discord.

Chat in English​

All chat needs to be in English. It isn't about preferring one language over another; it's so our Staff can actually moderate what's being said and step in when something goes wrong. A conversation nobody on the team can read is a conversation nobody can keep safe.

Be Yourself​

Don't impersonate other players or Staff Members. If you think someone is impersonating you, tell a Staff Member rather than confronting them.

Keep Your Name and Skin Suitable​

Your username, skin, avatar and profile picture are seen by everyone, including our youngest players. They need to be appropriate for all ages, and so does anything else on your profile, like your status.

This one is handled differently

An inappropriate username or skin results in a ban that lasts until you've changed it. It isn't meant as a punishment - the ban lifts as soon as the problem is fixed.

Don't Advertise​

Posting links to other servers, or Discord invites unrelated to Crafting for Christ, isn't allowed.

Sharing an online church or a pastoral care service is usually fine. If you're not sure whether something counts as advertising, ask a Staff Member before you post it - nobody minds being asked.

Keep It Clean Everywhere​

Don't post links or content that lead to, or contain, NSFW or otherwise inappropriate material. This applies everywhere - in-game chat, this website and Discord - not just one of them. Our youngest players are in all of those spaces.

No Attacks on the Network or Its Players​

A few things cross from breaking a rule into attacking the community itself, and they're treated at the most serious end:

  • DDOS or DOS threats or attacks. Threatening or attempting to knock the Network or a player offline is never tolerated. On Discord, even a DDOS threat is treated as a Terms of Service violation.
  • Doxxing. Threatening to share, actually sharing, or cheering on the sharing of someone's private information is not allowed. If someone does this to you, don't engage - tell a Staff Member.

Be Straight With Staff​

Follow directions from Staff promptly. If you think a Staff Member has got something wrong, don't argue it out in chat - raise it the way described in Punishments & Appeals.

Don't lie to a Staff Member who's looking into something. Owning up to what happened is always the shorter road, and honesty is weighed in your favour when an outcome is being decided.

Rules Change​

Our rules are updated as the Network changes, and they can change without notice. Keeping up with them is your responsibility, so it's worth checking the Rules Page now and then.

There's a one week grace period whenever a rule changes, so you won't be caught out by something that appeared yesterday.

Additional Guidelines​

  • Follow Staff Instructions: Staff are here to help enforce rules and maintain community safety. Please follow their guidance promptly.
  • Report Issues Responsibly: Use /report or contact staff directly for serious issues. Provide clear, honest information.
  • Be Inclusive: Crafting for Christ is a community for everyone. Be welcoming and supportive to players of all backgrounds.
